Using the alphanumeric keypad, enter a file name for this result. The operation of the SAVE AS dialog box is
similar to cell/mobile phone – once a character is pressed, the cursor will automatically move to the right for
the next character to be enter. Up to 8 characters (no spaces allowed) can be entered using the
alphanumeric keypad to define a file name. Once the file name is completely entered, press the function key
associated with ENTER or press the RUN/STOP key to accept the entry.
The USE LAST button recalls the last used file name so if a number of tests are being run at a particular
location, users do not need to keep entering long filenames when they would only need to change the test
number. The USE LAST feature can also be used if the same file name is going to be used without changes
to it. The CableSHARK data and time stamps all results but each filename MUST have a different
alphanumeric name.
Once the ENTER key or the RUN/STOP key is pressed to accept a file name, the user is returned to the test
result.
