The CableSHARK’s RFL test needs to be configured in detail now that the faulty pair and good pairs have
been identified and the strap properly attached.

At the top of the screen you can see colors corresponding to the test leads. Ensure that the connection to
the faulty pair and the good pair corresponds to these colors.
For single section testing (i.e. the length of circuit under test is the same gauge) the user needs to enter /
verify information about Cable Type, Resistance per length, Distance, Temperature and whether or not there
are load coils on the line.
CABLE TYPE:
The CABLE TYPE setting is used to select the appropriate cable type or more
appropriately the appropriate diameter. The available options for Imperial
Measurement Units are 19, 22, 24, and 26 AWG. For METRIC Measurement Units,
the options are 0.4 mm PE, 0.5 mm PE, 0.6 mm PE , and 0.8 mm PE. Note: AWG =
