Change Directory
Use this field to change the location of the event log.
The next time the event log rolls the new directory is
used. The event log directory can be located on the
local machine or a network file server.
Roll To Next Log
File
Press this button to force the event log to roll to the
next file.
Delete Events in
Log
Press this button to delete all the events in the current
log file.
WARNING: Once the events are deleted it is not
possible to recover the information.
Reset Log Number Resets the log number used in the event log filename to
one. The next time the log rolls the filename will be
'Event1.log'
Device Filtering
Use this configuration page to configure the log and view device filtering
settings.
Filter events using Select the type of event filter you would like to use.
Selecting No device filtering displays all the selected
events from all devices. The trap community names
option filters event messages based on the trap
community name. The device IP address option filters
events based on the event's IP address.
No device filtering Select this option so that device and community name
filtering is not applied to the event stream.
Trap community
names
Use this group of controls to add and delete trap
community names. With trap community name filtering
enabled, an event must match one of the trap
community names in the list to pass the filter. The trap
community name contained in the event is configured on
the server. Use the MonarchNet for TCP/IP
configuration SNMP page to change the trap community
name.
Device IP address Use this group of controls to select which events should
pass the filter based on the event IP address.
