This chapter contains information about creating a new print server object,
configuration, and printing.
O v e r v i e w
MonarchNet for NDS is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) which allows users to
create and manage Monarch print server objects in the NDS tree.
MonarchNet for NDS integrates into Novell’s NetWare Administrator, a
Windows-based utility that allows users to view and manage their NetWare
4.x NDS tree. Once MonarchNet for NDS is integrated into NetWare
Administrator, users can manage Monarch devices with the same utility used
to manage other network objects such as printers and queues.
The MonarchNet supports NetWare NDS using Novell


Technology, also known as NEST.
MonarchNet for NDS can be installed to support Novell NetWare


4.1 or 4.11 and for operating systems running Windows 3.x, Windows 95,
Windows 98 and/or Windows NT.

To create a new Monarch Print Server object from Novell's NetWare
Administrator perform, the following steps:
1. From Novell's NetWare Administrator, select the container in which you
want the object created. For example, to create an object that is
subordinate to sales, choose SALES.
2. From the Object menu, choose Create. If the Create option is grayed,
you do not have sufficient rights, or you selected a leaf object.
