7-6 MonarchNet for NDS

R e n a m e a n O b j e c t

When you rename an Monarch Print Server object, the new name appears in
the browser and in any context in which it is referenced. (NetWare Directory
Services automatically changes all references to the renamed object.)
Renaming the object changes only the object's common name, which is the
name that is displayed in the Directory tree. It does not change the object's
context (the object will reside in the same container as before.).

To rename an Monarch Print Server object:

1. In the New Name field, type the object's new name.

2. Click OK.

Screen regions and buttons

New Name allows you to enter the object's new name.

OK saves changes and closes the dialog.

Cancel closes the dialog without changing the name.

Use the object dialog to set or change information about an object. You can
open an object dialog several different ways.

The object dialog has two areas:

An information area, where you work with that object

A page area, where you specify information about the object

To open pages, choose a page button. The information area changes when
you open a page. All pages are part of the object dialog. When you open a
page, you're still in the same object dialog.

You can move back and forth between pages by pressing the Page
Up and Page Down keys on your keyboard.

OK and Cancel affect the entire object dialog, not just this

page. Do not choose OK until you've entered all changes

to this page and other pages. If you choose Cancel, you

lose all changes in every page of this dialog.
