Install TCP/IP and LPR Print Monitor
To install the LPR print monitor on your system, follow the steps below:
1. Open the Windows NT Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Network icon.
3. Select Add Software from the Network Settings window.
4. Select TCP/IP Protocol and Related Components from the Add Network
Software window. Click Continue.
5. Select Connectivity Utilities and TCP/IP Network Printing Support from
the Windows NT TCP/IP Installation Options window.
If either of these items are grayed out, it means the item
has already been installed and you may skip the
installation of that item.
6. Select Continue from the Windows NT TCP/IP Installation Options
window. Respond appropriately to the installation windows presented.
7. Shutdown the application and restart Windows NT.
Assign Print Server IP Address
Using MonarchNet for IP, assign the print server an IP address; for example,
10.10.10.2.
Add LPR Printer
1. From the Windows NT Print Manager Printer menu, select Create Printer.
2. In the Create Printer window select:
Printer Name
Driver
Description
3. At the Print prompt, select Other.
4. From the Print Destinations window, select LPR Port.
