DLC/LLC protocol. Print jobs printed through MonarchNet are sent directly to
the MonarchNet print server and not routed through the network server,
resulting in a reduction of network traffic. MonarchNet for DLC can be used
to configure the print server, obtain status from the print server and printer,
and send jobs to the printer.
If you have printing problems while using the MonarchNet printing port, you
may check the status of the port or change its settings through the printer
properties dialog.

For Windows 95/98, select Port Settings under the Details tab.

For Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000, select Configure Port under the
Ports tab.

For Windows NT 3.51, select Settings.
For configuration options, click the Configure button to run MonarchNet for
DLC.

The MonarchNet for DLC Utility can be used to configure DLC enabled
Monarch print servers using the DLC protocol.

To configure the MonarchNet output port, select the Output Port tab.

Select the port number you wish to configure.

Select the appropriate printer language for printing and
configuration pages on your printer.
Output Type
This setting is only available on MonarchNet/Serial ports.
Verify the print server has a port of this type. Select the
appropriate baud rate.

To enable or disable protocols on the MonarchNet, select the Protocols tab.
Select each protocol you wish to enable. If you disable a protocol, the
MonarchNet will no longer communicate using that protocol.
