Backup System Data and Disk Files
How to Restore Your Backup Data
To restore backup data, proceed as follows:

Log in as Administrator.

Open an Windows XP command window (Select Start > Programs > Command Prompt).

Go to the SC3 directory using the command:
C:\ cd SC3

Insert the first BACKUP diskette in the A:drive.

At the Windows XP command prompt type:
C:\ SC3 \ RESTORE
You will be prompted to insert diskettes if more are required.

When Backup is completed, quit the command window.
RESTORE will extract all compressed data from the backup diskette(s) and place it in the SC3
directory. This will over write any possibly newer data that could exist there.
How to Write-protect Backup Diskettes
You must set the write-enable tab on your backup diskette to the write-protect position before
you try to restore data from the diskette. That way, you cannot accidentally write over or erase
the data you are trying to restore.

When the little window on the disk is open, you cannot overwrite the data already on that disk.
When the window is closed, you can overwrite the data.
