Program version
Information about the existing program version is given under
System/Device manager. Select the corresponding device and press
[Edit].
Data source
If PC Control is used then the firmware of the control device should be
available on one of the data carriers of the computer. This could be a
hard disk, CD-ROM or a PCMCIA or CompactFlash card connected by
a card reader.
The Touch Control requires the program files on a memory card in
Card slot 1 (Card 1).
The corresponding files can be found on the installation CD in the
directory "Firmware".
Before carrying out an update you should first perform a backup in
order to save your data and system settings (see Section 3.11.6).
Always use a newly formatted memory card for the backup with Touch
Control.
Update of Touch Control
In the menu System/Diagnosis/Software update select Touch
Control under Device. In the selection list Update type, select the
item Program and confirm with [Continue].
Under Binary file, open the list with the program files on the
memory card. The file name has the following structure:
Touch Control – program:
5xxx01yy.BIN
xxx = Touch Control version (device number)
yy = 10 or higher (program version)
Take care that the device and version numbers are assigned
correctly.
Select the required program file and press [Select].
Confirm the selected file with [Continue].
Start the update with the [Start] fixed key. Further steps are
shown in the dialog.
A backup request appears. Confirm the process with [Yes]; the
process is canceled with [No] and you have the possibility of
saving your data.
At the end of the update you must switch off the Touch Control and
then switch it on again after a few seconds. A RAM initialization is
carried out automatically (see Section 5.3.2). This takes some time.
