4.12.4 Rack reset (RACK)
With the command Rack reset the rack, lift and robotic arm are reset,
the rack code is read off and the corresponding rack data is transferred
to the USB Sample Processor. At the same time the sample variable is
reset to one.
• Check rack: The rack which is put on can be checked at the start of
the method. In this way you can ensure that the method can only be
carried out with this rack. This means that you have to select the
desired rack in the start options under Check rack.
4.12.5 Sample variable (SAMPLE)
The sample variable describes the current position of the sample at the
USB Sample Processor. At the end of a method sequence it is auto-
matically increased by one. It is again reset to one at the start of the
system and after a Rack reset. With the SAMPLE command the sample
variable can also be selectively altered. For example, a SAMPLE com-
mand can be inserted in order to prevent the automatic increase at the
end of a method. This automatic increase can also be switched off un-
der Method options/Start options (see Section 3.16.7).
• Sample variable: The sample variable can be set to a particular
value with "=" or, based on the current value, altered with "+" or
"−" .
• Value: This is the amount by which the sample variable is to be al-
tered.
4.12.6 Subsequence (SUBSEQ)
With more complex tasks in particular, such as rinsing procedures or
liquid handling (see Section 4.8), it is advisable to group command se-
quences together to form a subsequence. Subsequences are managed
in the same way as method commands. A maximum of 99 commands
can be grouped together to form a subsequence. There is no limitation
on the number of subsequences contained in a method.
[Load/Save] is used to load stored subsequences or to save new sub-
sequences. This means that they are available for all methods and only
have to be drawn up once.
