HDR black compression is a function that reduces the
black level of HDR in the same way as for SDR.
To enable, set the radio button to On.
• This cannot be configured when [Conversion Mode]
is set to [Display Referred] in the [Common] area.
• This cannot be set when [Look Conversion] is
enabled in the [Additional Paint] area.

Set the black level in [Black Level].
Select the type of system camera and set the black
level.
Sony System Camera:
Sony system camera
Enter the master black value (
−
99.9 to +99.9) of
the input signal in [Master Black], and the HDR
black offset value (
−
30.0 to +30.0) of the input
signal in [HDR Black Offset].
Others:
Non-Sony system cameras
Enter the HDR black level value (
−
99.9 to +99.9)
on the input/output signal in [Input/Output Black
Level (HDR)], and the SDR black level value
(
−
99.9 to +99.9) of the input/output signal in
[Input/Output Black Level (SDR)].
This cannot be configured when [Conversion Mode] is
set to [Display Referred] in the [Common] area.
[Conversion] settings
Sets the adjustment values of each item for the conversion.
The [Conversion] setting type will vary depending on the
[Conversion Type] setting.
[HDR-HDR Convert] and [HDR-SDR Convert] are not
supported in this version.
When the setting type is [SDR-HDR Convert]

Set the gamma curve of the inverse conversion in [De-
Gamma].
Standard:
Standard gamma curve
Enter the type of gamma curve (1 to 7) in the entry
field.
Hyper:
Hypergamma curve
Enter the type of gamma curve (1 to 4) in the entry
field.
This cannot be configured when [Conversion Mode] is
set to [Display Referred] in the [Common] area.

Set the highlight creation function in [Highlight
Creation].
Highlight creation is a function that makes high-
luminance areas brighter according to a knee function
during conversion.
To enable, set the radio button to On and set the
following items.
Point (Abs.):
Select the knee point of the knee
function.

(98.5%), 100% (100%)
Slope (Abs.):
Select the slope of the knee function.

Set the gain for conversion in [SDR-HDR Gain].
Enter the gain (0.0 to 15.0) in the entry field.
The SDR percentage level that results in conversion to
HDR 100% level varies depending on the [SDR-HDR
Gain] setting and is displayed in [HDR Contrast].
When [Conversion Mode] is set to [Display Referred]
in the [Common] area, the value in nits after
conversion of SDR 100% level is displayed in [HDR
Contrast].

Set the black clip function in [HDR Black Clip].
To enable, set the radio button to On.
This cannot be configured when [To] is set to [S-Log3
(HDR)] or [S-Log3 (Live HDR)] in [Conversion
Type].
