Troubleshooting
This subsection contains information about how to isolate faulty modules in the
Live Controller. If a module needs to be replaced, follow the Removal and
Installation Procedures described on page 9–5.
At Power On
The Live Controller does not have a self–test executed at power-on. However,
Table 9–4 lists symptoms which may occur when you turn the power on.
At Diagnostics
Diagnostics are to be run manually and periodically to verify that the Live
Controller is working properly. See Diagnostics described on page 9–25 for the
diagnostic procedures. Table 9–5 lists the symptoms which may occur during
diagnostic tests.

For Live Controller
Backlights for both LCDs do not
light.
j Power code cable is not connected properly. Check the power
code cable connection.
j Fuse is blown. Replace the fuse.
j Power supply module failure. Replace the power supply unit.
Backlights for both LCDs light, but
the key lamps do not light in their
pre-determined sequence.
j LCD module failure. Replace the LCD module.
j Keyboard module failure. Replace the Keyboard (A20).
j CPU module failure. Replace the CPU module (A10).
j Power supply unit failure. Replace the power supply unit.
For diagnostic routine
Diagnostic main menu does not
appear.
j EVENT and TIME keys were not pressed. Press both keys at
power on.
j EVENT and/or TIME key failure. Replace the Keyboard (A20).
j Keyboard module failure. Replace the Keyboard (A20).
j CPU module failure. Replace the CPU module (A10).
