2 Getting started: installing, starting and exiting EHX
2.1 System requirements
EHX runs on the following versions of Windows:
• Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2 (32-bit and 64-bit).
• Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-bit and 64-bit).
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP2 (32-bit and 64-bit).
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit).
Note: Windows Server 2008 R2 is only available in a 64 bit version (no 32 bit
version is available).
• Microsoft Windows XP SP3 (32-bit and 64-bit).
• Microsoft Windows Vista SP2 (32-bit and 64-bit).
• Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit).
• Microsoft Windows 8 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Note: When running EHX on Windows OS, you can run the client and server on separate
machines, connected over the network.
The minimum requirements for the PC hosting EHX are as follows:
