Interpreting Error Messages
You get this error:
If you:

device error – device
does not exist
request a device that does not exist
Click No to select or enter another device.
Click Yes to create the device.
This dialog box opens
Select the type of device, enter the device address,
and then click OK.
device error – no device
specified
forget to specify a device
Click OK, then select or enter a device.
device error – device not
an SLC processor
select a device that is not an SLC processor (if
you are importing an APS ASCII file)
Click OK and then select an SLC device.
parse error

try to import one of the following:
•
a corrupted file
•
an unsupported file type or a file type other than
the type you selected
•
a file that has been manually edited with mistakes
Click OK to abort the Tag Import/Export utility.
Choose Import from the Tools menu again and select another file
or fix the bad file and reselect it.
file error – file does not
exist

Click OK. Select another source file or cancel.
