Multiple Concurrent Gateways
Beginning with Doors.NET v3.5.1.19, the software is capable of running multiple con-
current hardware gateways. This includes any combination of:
l
NXT
l
Mercury Powered NXT
l
PXL-500 Series
l
Mercury
l
ASSA Aperio and WiFi/POE
l
Ingersoll-Rand/Schlage
Hardware not currently supported:
l
Entraguard controllers
l
PXL-G (Gate), PXL-LC (Elevator Control), PXL-510 (Alarm Panel)
l
PXL-250 controllers
In a multiple concurrent gateway and hardware platform system, the software limits itself
to the lowest common denominator between the hardware platforms in use for certain
operating parameters. Also, certain features may be displayed, but may only apply to
one specific gateway and hardware platform, and not to any other gateways.
This document calls out the most obvious limitations. Identify the gateway types you are
installing and then locate the lowest parameter value per gateway type. This will be the
limitation imposed by the software. Keep in mind the factory default allows one gateway.
There are additional charges for each additional gateway and your license must be
updated to enable each additional gateway.
Time Schedules and Holiday Schedules
When using multiple concurrent gateways Doors.NET allows each gateway/hardware
type to access its total number of available time schedules. Time schedules are not lim-
ited to the lowest common denominator.
