SFSMDSCAP
(MDS license) Allows you to start a file system that is based on capacity class
(SFS20 enclosure) storage.
SFSOSTENT
(OST license) Allows you to create a file system that is based on enterprise
class (EVA4000) storage.
SFSOSTCAP
(OST license) Allows you to create a file system that is based on capacity class
(SFS20 enclosure) storage.
The following are the valid license combinations:
• A combined MDS and OST license (
SFSMDSOST
) for systems where there are only two servers and
SFS20 storage is used.
• One MDS license (
SFSMDSENT
) and one or more OST licenses (
SFSOSTENT
) for systems where
EVA4000 storage is used.
• One MDS license (
SFSMDSCAP
) and one or more OST licenses (
SFSOSTCAP
) for systems where
SFS20 storage is used.
Each
SFSOSTENT
and
SFSOSTCAP
increment (OST license) also specifies (in terabytes) the amount of
storage licensed by that increment. The
create filesystem
command does not allow you to create a
file system (or file systems) that would result in the aggregate file system size exceeding the total amount of
storage licensed by the combined OST licenses.
Following are three examples of license files that you may receive from HP.
