If your system cannot see the controllers (see Example 9-2), check the Fibre Channel network. If your system
can see the controllers but cannot see the storage, check the presentations of the LUNs on the Storage
Management Appliance (refer to Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 of the HP StorageWorks Scalable File Share
System Installation and Upgrade Guide for information on storage configuration, and see Example 9.29 of
this guide for information on troubleshooting LUN presentation).
Useful information is also stored in the files
/proc/scsi/qla2xxx/0
and
/proc/scsi/qla2xxx/1
files, as appropriate. Example 8-4 shows typical content in these files. There should be two targets for each
EVA4000 controller pair on the fabric, regardless of the presentations of each. In this example, there are
twelve controller pairs. Note that the storage (under the title
SCSI LUN
Information), when it is presented
correctly, is represented with an asterisk (as explained in the file text).
