configure array

The

configure array

command configures an SFS20 array. This command cannot be used to configure

an EVA4000 array.

Syntax

configure array array_numbers [adm_lun=yes|no]

[adm_lun_size=size]

[service_lun=yes|no]

[luns_size=size|size%[,size|size%,...][all]] [raid=ADG|6|5|1+0|1|0]
[stripe_size=8|16|32|64|128|256] [sectors=32|63] [disks_per_group=num_disks]
[spare_disk_count=num_disks] [force=yes|no] [preferred_server=server_name]
[rebuild_priority=low|medium|high] [surface_scan_delay=delay_period]

Arguments

array_numbers

Required. Specify the array numbers of the arrays you want to configure.

You can specify a single array, a comma-separated list of arrays, or a

range of arrays.

adm_lun

Optional. Specify whether the array is to contain an administration LUN.
By default, the

configure array

command automatically creates the

administration LUN for the system on the lowest numbered array attached

to the administration and MDS server pair. A spare administration LUN is

created on every other array attached to the administration and MDS

server pair.
If you do not want an administration LUN or a spare administration LUN to

be configured on the array, specify

no

in this argument. However, there

must be one administration LUN for the system.

adm_lun_size

O

ptional.

S

pecify the size of the administration LUN (and the spare

administration LUN). The size must be specified in GB, and the default

value is

40

.

Do not use this argument for arrays connected to Object Storage Servers.

service_lun

Optional. Specify whether the array is to contain a service LUN.
By default, the

configure array

command automatically creates the

service LUN for a server pair on the lowest numbered array attached to a

server pair. A spare service LUN is created on every other array attached

to the server pair.
If you do not want a service LUN or a spare service LUN to be configured

on the array, specify

no

in this argument. However, there must be one

service LUN for each server pair.

luns_size

Optional. Specify, in a comma-separated list, the size of each LUN that is

to be created in the disk group (in addition to the administration LUN (one

for the entire system), spare administration LUN, service LUN or spare

service LUN, where these are automatically created in the disk group).
Sizes can be specified in GB or as percentages, or you can specify

all

to

indicate that the LUN is to occupy all of the (remaining) space in the disk

group. If the

all

option is used, it must be the last entry in the list of LUNs.

If you do not specify any LUN sizes, one LUN that uses all of the available

space in the disk group is created.
