SFS20 storage — 250GB disks
Table B-2 provides details of expected performance figures for one Object Storage Server in systems using
SFS20 storage. These figures are based on the following configuration:
•
SFS20 array firmware at Version 1.92.
•
One 2TB LUN per disk group (per array).
•
Infiniband interconnect for Lustre figures.
•
For ADG (also called RAID6) redundancy configurations:
One disk group consisting of eleven 250GB disks and a single spare disk.
•
For RAID5 redundancy configurations:
One disk group consisting of ten 250GB disks and a single spare disk.
In Table B-2, the second set of figures (2 LUNs) for each entry provides the data for a scenario where two
SFS20 arrays are simultaneously accessed.
Performance in systems using SFS20 storage may vary depending on the size of disk used in the array.
SFS20 storage — 5000GB disks
Table B-3 shows the Lustre performance of multiple clients to one Object Storage Server using a single
SFS20 array with 500GB disks.
These figures are based on the following configuration:
•
One disk group of eleven 500GB disks and one spare disk.
•
Two 2TB LUNs per disk group (that is, two 2TB LUNs per array).
This is the recommended configuration for 500GB disks, as described in Chapter 5 of the
HP StorageWorks Scalable File Share System Installation and Upgrade Guide.
