A.19.3 set lun
The
set lun
command sets the properties of LUNs.
Syntax
set lun wwid|lun_number [user=lun_user] [role=role]
[preferred_server=server_name] [preferred_controller=none|A|B] [path=path]
Arguments
wwid|lun_number
Required. Specify the WWID or the LUN number of the LUN.
user
Optional. Specify the server that is to use the LUN.
Use this argument when assigning administration and service roles to
LUNs.
Do not use this argument when assigning MDS and OST roles to
LUNs. The user is automatically assigned to MDS and OST LUNs when
a file system is set up (that is, when the
create filesystem
command is run).
role
Optional. Specify the role of the LUN. Valid values are
adm
,
mds
,
ost
,
service
, and
unknown
.
preferred_server
Optional. Specify which of the servers (in the server pair attached to
an array) is to be the preferred server for the LUN.
preferred_controller
(EVA4000 arrays only.) Optional. Specify which controller is to be
used for the LUN.
path
(EVA4000 arrays only.) Optional. Sets a specific path for the LUN.
nickname
This attribute is used to give the HP SFS system a nickname; nicknames are
needed if two or more HP SFS systems have the same short system name. See
Section 5.9 (of this document) for more information.
ost_critical_size
This attribute is used for monitoring OST service space usage. See
Section 5.11 (of this document) for more information.
ost_warning_size
This attribute is used for monitoring OST service space usage. See
Section 5.11 (of this document) for more information.
plot_history
This attribute determines how many days of performance data is retained for
viewing.
See Section 4.7 for more information.
portals.compatibility
This attribute must be set to
yes
if the servers are upgraded to HP SFS
Version 2.2, but the client nodes remain at an earlier version of the HP SFS
software.

quota
This attribute is used to enable quota functionality on the system; this attribute
must be enabled if quota functionality is to be used on any of the file systems.
When the system is installed or upgraded to Version 2.2, the
quota
attribute
is enabled by default. See Section 5.1.4 for information on enabling quota
functionality on individual file systems.
readcache_size
This attribute is used to set the size of the read cache on servers (for example,
to
restrict the use of the read cache to small objects)
