Fibre Channel Device Properties Field Descriptions

Field

Description

TID

The device’s Target Identifier. For Fibre Channel, all target devices are assigned
a logical SCSI Bus and Target ID.

Device Identifier

The ASCII device identifier string from the device’s Inquiry Data.

World Wide Name

The full World Wide Name of the device.

DID

The Destination Identifier for the device.

Format

Press Enter to low-level format the disk drive (if the feature is enabled). Low-
level formatting completely and irreversibly erases all data on the drive.
Formatting defaults the drive to a 512-byte sector size, even if it was previously
formatted to another sector size.

Verify

Highlight this field and press Enter to verify all sectors on the device and to
reassign defective Logical Block Addresses (LBAs).
