be used by an application or at the EFI Shell. A SCSI pass-thru interface
is installed for all SCSI devices.

The BSD includes an integrated Configuration Protocol that enables you
to view and edit static and configurable parameters for supported adapters.
The Configuration Protocol is implemented using the EFI Configuration
Protocol and can be invoked with the EFI Shell Command

drvcfg

.

The EFI setup utility enables you to change the default configuration of
LSI host adapters. The setup utility is embedded in the EFI Fusion-MPT
SCSI BIOS.

The EFI Fusion-MPT BIOS has the following features:

Supports the LSI LSI53C1020, LSI53C1030, LSIFC919, LSIFC929,
LSIFC919X, LSIFC929X and LSIFC929XL controllers.

Configuration for up to 256 host adapter channels (PCI Function).

Supports up to 15 SCSI targets per SCSI channel, with 8 LUNs for
each target.

Supports up to (8 buses X 128 targets X 8 LUNs) per Fibre Channel
port.

Provides LBA access to the following device types: hard disk drives,
removable media devices, CD-ROM drives, Write-once, and Magneto
Optical (MO) drives. Other SCSI devices are detected and supported
via SCSI pass-thru. (SCSI pass-thru is not installed for Fibre
Channel devices.)

Supports media removal and media change for removable media
device types.

Supports Fusion-MPT Integrated RAID (IR) on SCSI controllers. This
includes I/O and configuration support for Integrated RAID arrays
consisting of two to six disks.

Installs the Driver Binding, Component Name, and Driver
Configuration EFI protocols for each driver image.

Installs the SCSI pass-thru EFI protocol for each supported SCSI
Host Adapter channel.

Installs the Device Path and Block I/O EFI protocols for each
supported Target/LUN.

For details of each protocol implementation, refer to the latest EFI
1.1 specification.
