Main Menu Field Descriptions

Field

Description

Adapter

The model number of the LSI controller.

PCI Bus

The PCI Bus number (0x00–0xFF) that the system BIOS assigns to the adapter.

PCI Dev

The PCI Device number (0x00–0x1F) that the system BIOS assigns to the adapter.

PCI Fnc

The PCI Function number (0–7) that the system BIOS assigns to the adapter.

RAID Alert

None

indicates that no alert condition exists.

ERROR

indicates that an invalid or non-

optimal RAID array condition exists. Alert conditions include:

The active array is not optimal and is not synchronizing.

Multiple arrays were detected.

If an error exists, you must view the details and resolve it on the RAID Properties menu.

FW Revision

The Fusion-MPT firmware version number.

Product

Indicates the capabilities of the Fusion-MPT firmware. The values are:
IO: Fusion-MPT firmware has basic Initiator capabilities only.
IME: Fusion-MPT firmware has Integrated Mirroring Enhanced capability.
IS: Fusion-MPT firmware has Integrated Striping capability.
IT: Fusion-MPT firmware has Initiator/Target capability.
T: Fusion-MPT firmware has Target capability (not supported).
FC: Fusion-MPT firmware for Fibre Channel.

LSI Control

Indicates whether an adapter is eligible for LSI software control or is reserved for
control by non-LSI software. The possible values for this field are:

Enabled: You can view and modify settings for the adapter, and the Fusion-MPT EFI
driver attempts to control the adapter.

Disabled: You can view and modify settings for the adapter, but the LSI EFI driver
does not attempt to control the adapter.

Forbidden: Access to the controller is forbidden because a different driver is
controlling it or because there was an error initializing the adapter.

If set to either Enabled or Disabled, you can change the Boot Support Setting in the
Adapter Properties menu. The EFI driver must be reloaded before the new setting takes
effect.

RAID Status

Indicates the status of any arrays defined on the adapter. The possible values include
Optimal, Degraded, Disabled, Quiesced, xx% Syncd, Inactive, or Failed. A string of
dashes indicates that no array exists on the adapter.

IRQ

Indicates the IRQ line (decimal) for an adapter. The system BIOS assigns this value.
