10.3.3 Boot Adapter List Menu
The Boot Adapter List menu displays the adapter boot order (0–3) and
allows you to change it. The adapter boot order specifies the order in
which adapters will boot when more than one LSI adapter is installed.
You can select up to four of the total adapters in a system as bootable.
To access this menu, select Boot Adapter List on the Main Menu and
press Enter.

Highlight this field and press Enter to view the Global Properties menu.
Adapter
The model number of the LSI controller.
PCI Bus
The PCI Bus number (0x00–0xFF) that the system BIOS assigns to the adapter.
PCI Dev/Func
The PCI Device/Function that the system BIOS assigns to an adapter. Bits [7:3]
indicate the Device number (0x00–0x1F). Bits [2:0] indicate the Function
number (0–7).
Port Number
The I/O Port Number that the system BIOS assigns to this adapter.
IRQ
The Interrupt Request Line that the system BIOS assigns to this adapter.
NVM
Indicates whether the adapter has non-volatile memory (NVM) associated with
it. An adapter’s configuration is stored in its associated NVM.
Boot Order
Indicates the relative boot order (0 to 3) of an adapter. The LSI FC BIOS
traverses up to four adapters in the specified order in search of bootable media.
You can modify the boot order on the Boot Adapter List menu, which you can
access by selecting the option in the upper left hand corner of the menu.
LSI Control
Indicates whether an adapter is eligible for LSI software control or is reserved
for control by non-LSI software. The possible values for this field are:
•
Enabled: You can view and modify settings for the adapter, and the Fusion-
MPT driver attempts to control the adapter.
•
Disabled: You can view and modify settings for the adapter, but the Fusion-
MPT driver does not attempt to control the adapter.
•
Forbidden: Access to the controller is forbidden because a different driver is
controlling it or because there was an error initializing the adapter.
If set to either Enabled or Disabled, you can change the Boot Support Setting
in the Adapter Properties menu. The driver must be reloaded before the new
setting takes effect.
