Starting the SAS BIOS Setup Utility

If you have SAS BIOS version 6.xx, and it includes the Fusion-MPT SAS
BIOS setup utility, you can use the setup utility to change the default
configuration of the SAS host adapters. (The SAS BIOS version number
appears on the monitor during bootup.) You may need to change these
default values if there is a conflict between device settings or if you need
to optimize system performance. If the utility is available, the following
message appears during bootup:

Press Ctrl-C to start LSI Logic Configuration Utility...

When you see this message, press Ctrl-C to start the setup utility. When
you press Ctrl-C, the message changes to:

Please wait, invoking LSI Logic Configuration Utility...

After a short pause, the Adapter List menu appears.

These messages may appear during the boot process:

Adapter removed from boot order!

This message appears when an adapter was removed from the
system or was relocated behind a PCI bridge. The message is
informational only.

Adapter configuration may have changed, reconfiguration

is suggested!

This message is informational only. It appears if none of the
information in the NVRAM is valid. This can occur when the BIOS is
upgraded, or when some external event has rendered the NVRAM
temporarily unreadable. You can either accept the default NVRAM
values, or you can re-enter the settings you want in the setup utility.

Updating Adapter List!

This message appears when fewer than four adapters are in the boot
order and more adapters exist than are shown.

Important:

The SAS BIOS Setup Utility is a powerful tool. If, while
using it, you somehow disable all of the controllers, press
Ctrl-E (or Ctrl-A on earlier versions) after memory
initialization during reboot. This will allow you to re-enable
and reconfigure the controllers.
