6.3.11 LOCATE Command

Note:

This command is supported only for LSI SAS controllers.

The LOCATE command turns on/off a drive’s LED located in a SCSI
enclosure processor. This is accomplished by sending a SCSI Enclosure
Processor Request message to set or unset the Identify Request flag.
The command is valid on drives connected to SES or SAF-TE devices.

Command Line –

cfggen locate

cfggen locate

Parameters –

– Number of the controller targeted by this command.

– SCSI ID of the hard disk drive.

– The enclosure:bay value for the disk drive. These
values can be obtained from the output of the DISPLAY command.

– {on/off} depending on whether the locate LED lights need
to turned on or off.

Program Return Value –

0x00

SUCCESS: Command completed successfully.

0x01

FAILURE: Bad command line arguments or operational failure.

0x02

ADAPTER_NOT_FOUND: Specified adapter cannot be found.

6.3.12 LOGIR Command

Note:

This command is supported only for LSI SAS controllers.

The LOGIR command allows to upload or erase a log of IR events that
are stored in the controller. The type of events logged is implementation
specific. The IR log entries are read from Log Page 0, as defined in the
MPI spec.
