Main Menu

When you start the setup utility the Main Menu appears, as shown in

Figure 7.1

. This menu displays a scrolling list of up to 256 installed LSI

PCI to SCSI host adapters and information about each of them.

Use the arrow keys to select an adapter, then press Enter to view and
modify the properties of the selected adapter (and to access the other
menus). After you select an adapter and press Enter, the setup utility
scans the adapter’s SCSI bus and then displays the Adapter Properties
menu (see

Section 7.3.5, “Adapter Properties Menu”

).

Field

Description

Highlight this field and press Enter to view the Boot Adapter List menu.

Highlight this field and press Enter to view the Global Properties menu.

Adapter

The model number of the LSI controller.

PCI Bus

The PCI Bus number assigned by the system BIOS to the adapter. The PCI
Bus number can be between 0x00 and 0xFF.

Dev/Func

The PCI Device number and Function number that the system BIOS assigns
to the adapter. Bits [7:3] of this 8-bit value designate the PCI Device (0x00–
0x1F). Bits [2:0] designate the PCI Function (0–7).

Port Number

The I/O Port Number that the system BIOS assigns to the adapter.

IRQ

The Interrupt Request Line that the system BIOS assigns to the adapter.

NVM

Indicates whether an adapter has nonvolatile memory. The nonvolatile memory
stores the adapter’s configuration.
