The ‘Extended Close Time’ Warning is used to indicate that there is
a potential problem with one or more of the up to five contactors in
an MC system. The normal close time for a contactor should never
exceed 200 ms, however, if it exceeds the values in Table 4.G, then
this is an indication that there may be a potential problem with one or
more contactors. To perform this measurement the close time will
be averaged over the last 5 closures. A measurement of the actual
close time for each of the five contactors is available as a DeviceNet
parameter (see Appendix B). To indicate to the user which
contactor(s) have an ‘Extended Close Time’ problem the following
DeviceNet messaging should be displayed as follows:
‘IB1 Extended Pick Up Time =’ ‘Present’ or ‘Not Present’
‘IB2 Extended Pick Up Time =’ ‘Present’ or ‘Not Present’
‘IB3 Extended Pick Up Time =’ ‘Present’ or ‘Not Present’
‘IB4 Extended Pick Up Time =’ ‘Present’ or ‘Not Present’
‘IB5 Extended Pick Up Time =’ ‘Present’ or ‘Not Present’
These messages will indicate all of the contactors that have had an
Extended Close Time condition.
DeviceNet Power Loss
This is a Warning condition which indicates that the DeviceNet
power on connector P1 (pins 5,1) has decreased below 10VDC. For
this warning to be annunciated, the DeviceNet power must have been
good (i.e. >10VDC) before the loss of this power. If an IntelliVAC
Plus were to power up without any DeviceNet power then this
warning would not occur. DeviceNet power must have been
available at some point and then lost before this warning is
annunciated. Check the DeviceNet power source or the connections
on the P1 (pins 5.1) connector.
The IntelliVAC Plus status LED is pulsing Green with a pattern of 6
pulses.
