Contactor Fails to Drop Out
This is a Fault condition and the IntelliVAC Plus will not respond to
other commands until this condition is restored to normal. Check the
condition of the contactor or the Contactor Auxiliary Input.
This indicates that the Basic module within the IntelliVAC Plus unit
has a fault due to the contactor failing to drop out once the Close of
Jog command is removed (for Electrically Held Contactors) or a Trip
command has been issued (for Mechanically Latched Contactors)
and the status of the contactor being controlled is in an Open condition.
The contactor may actually have dropped out but required longer
than normal time to do so, having exceeded the time for a Long
Contactor Drop Out Time, which is set to 1S. Therefore, the
contactor required >1S for a Long Contactor Drop Out.
The Module status LED is flashing Red with 3 consecutive red
flashes followed by a pause to indicate a contactor that has not
dropped out at all or has required too long of a time to drop out and
the Module status relay is open to prevent externally connected
circuits from functioning.
The Contactor status LED is Red to indicate that the contactor has a
severe fault and has not dropped out at all, or at least not within the
maximum allowed time of 240mS and the Contactor status relay is
Open to prevent externally connected circuits from functioning.
This condition is valid for both Electrically Held and Mechanically
Latched contactors.
RS485 Communications Error
This is a Fault condition and the IntelliVAC Plus will not respond to
other commands until this condition is restored to normal. Check the
condition of any external RS485 cables/resistor terminators that may
be connected.
This indicates that the Basic module within the IntelliVAC Plus unit
has a fault due to RS485 communications errors between itself and
the IE unit and the status of the contactor being controlled is in an
Open condition.
The Module status LED is flashing Red with 4 consecutive red
flashes followed by a pause to indicate that there is an RS485
communications error with the commanding IE unit and the Module
status relay is open to prevent externally connected circuits from
functioning.
