Parameters B-141

1503-UM054C-EN-P – June 2013

Average Number of Operations per Time Unit on IB5
[IB 5 Reset Operations Since Counter]

Parameter Number:

272,_,_,_,_.

Access rule:

Get/Set

Data Type:

BOOL

Object Mapping:

0x384-5-33

Group:

Diagnostics

Units:

-

Minimum Value:

0 = No Operation

Maximum Value:

1 = Reset

Default Value:

0

This parameter allows the user to view and set the status of the Reset

“Operations Since” Counter for IB5. If the bit is a ‘0’ then No

Operation is performed on the Average Counting vs. Time update

feature for IB5. If the bit is a ‘1’ then a counter Reset is performed

whereby the present number of Close operations that have occurred,

on IB5, will be transferred to the Operations-5 Event Count, along

with the Date and Time. Likewise, the previous Operations-5 Event

Count, along with the Date and Time, will be transferred to the

Operations-5 Event Since -1, along with the Date and Time. Finally

the previous Operations-5 Event Count, along with the Date and

Time, will be transferred to the Operations-5 Event Since -2, along

with the Date and Time. This sequence is like a single ended queue

whereby the present counter value is stored in a location and the

previous data stored in that location is moved to another location,

and so on. This particular system uses a queue with three levels

whereby the highest level will always contain the latest Operations

Counter value along with the Date/Time and the second highest level

will contain the data that was in the highest level and finally the third

highest level will contain the data that was in the second highest

level. This system will provide that there will always be three sets of

Counter operation records for three discrete times. Thus, this feature

allows the user to monitor the number of Close operations that have

occurred over three discrete time periods for historical operation of

the contactor or for maintenance reasons. See “Operations Since”

Counter in Chapter 4 for a more detailed description of this feature.
