Description of Features 4-21
1503-UM054C-EN-P – June 2013
Configuration
The IntelliVAC Plus Unit will be configured in one of two manners:
HIM
The standard means of configuring an IntelliVAC Plus shall be with
a hand-held configurator for DeviceNet (HIM).
It shall be possible to access all “Customer Use” parameters (need to
define Customer Use parameters) using the HIM. When accessed
via the HIM, parameters will be grouped/selected according to the
following – Control, Communications, Configuration & Diagnostics,
see Appendix B.
RS NetWorx Software
The IntelliVAC shall be configurable via DeviceNet, using RS
Networx software. This will include any parameters accessible via
the HIM. In addition, RS Networx shall be used to configure all
DeviceLogix function blocks. Please use RSNetWorx 8 or above to
support RTC setting.
Dual Power Supply Operation
The IntelliVAC Plus module is capable of operating on two different
power sources. The first of these sources is from the input power at
terminals TB1-TB2. This power source is used to generate the
internal DC voltages required for operation of the IntelliVAC Plus
module. The second power source is from the DeviceNet power, if it
is supplied. Operation of the IntelliVAC Plus module will always
operate from the input power at the TB1-TB2 terminals, if both
power sources are available. If only the DeviceNet power source is
available, then the IntelliVAC Plus unit will operate using this power
source. When the power source at the TB1-TB2 terminals is
available, then all of the features of the IntelliVAC Plus will be
operable. However, when only the DeviceNet power source is
available, then all of the operational features of the contactor, such as
closing the contactor coil, etc, will not be available. Only
communications over DeviceNet will be operable. All information
which requires RS485 communications will not be available. This
will also cease operation of the MC system.
Power Fail Operation
The internal 15VDC power supply will be monitored and failure of
this power rail will cause all RS485 communications to cease. With
a stand-alone IntelliVAC Plus unit only DeviceNet communications
will be operating, assuming that there is a DeviceNet power source.
