It will be necessary to cycle power on all
modules in the Multi contactor network to
re-establish communication between master
and slave modules.
IE/IB Firmware Revisions
The firmware revisions for all of the IB units will be made available
on DeviceNet as follows:
‘IB1 Firmware Version = ’ ‘xx.y’
‘IB2 Firmware Version = ’ ‘xx.y’
‘IB3 Firmware Version = ’ ‘xx.y’
‘IB4 Firmware Version = ’ ‘xx.y’
‘IB5 Firmware Version = ’ ‘xx.y’
For the IBx revisions, ‘xx’ can be from 0 to 31 and ‘y’ can be from 0 to 7.
If a particular IB unit is not installed or does not respond, ie. due to
not having any input power, then its revision will be displayed as 0.0.
Note that all leading zeroes of the major revisions will be
suppressed.
The IE firmware revision will be made available through either
RSNetWorx, in the General window under the Revision parameter,
or by use of a HIM, under the Revision menu when the IE unit is
selected. There is no special parameter made available on DeviceNet
for the IE firmware revision
.
Once the IE Firmware is successfully programmed into the IE unit,
the event will be recorded to the Event Log as two separate
parameters, these being the Major Rev Byte and the Minor Rev Byte.
Once the IB firmware is successfully programmed into the IB unit,
the event will be recorded to the Event Log.
