UVID

Shows UVID (untagged VLAN ID). Port's UVID determines the packet's behavior
at the egress side.

Conflicts

Shows status of Conflicts whether exists or Not. When a Volatile VLAN User
requests to set VLAN membership or VLAN port configuration, the following
conflicts can occur:
Functional Conflicts between feature.
Conflicts due to hardware limitation.
Direct conflict between user modules.

VLAN User

A VLAN User is a module that uses services of the VLAN management
functionality to configure VLAN memberships and VLAN port configuration such
as PVID, UVID. Currently we support following VLAN :

- CLI/Web/SNMP : This are reffered as static.
- NAS : NAS provides port-based authentication, which involves

communications between a Supplicant, Authenticator, and an Authentication
Server.

- Voice VLAN : Voice VLAN is a VLAN configured specially for voice traffic

typically originating from IP phones.

- MVR : MVR is used to eliminate the need to duplicate multicast traffic for

subscribers in each VLAN. Multicast traffic for all channels is sent only on a
single (multicast) VLAN.

-

MSTP

: The 802.1s Multiple Spanning Tree protocol (MSTP) uses VLANs to

create multiple spanning trees in a network, which significantly improves
network resource utilization while maintaining a loop-free environment.

Port Isolation Configuration

Overview
When a VLAN is configured to be a private VLAN, communication between ports within that VLAN can be prevented. Two
application examples are provided in this section:

• Customers connected to an ISP can be members of the same VLAN, but they are not allowed to communicate with each other

within that VLAN.

• Servers in a farm of web servers in a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) are allowed to communicate with the outside world and with

database servers on the inside segment, but are not allowed to communicate with each other
