How To Print System Diagnostics
Use the command PRINT DIAGNOSTICS or P DI to print the diagnostics. The
terminal will print the status of each site device. If any errors have occurred
since the diagnostics were last reset, it will also print the error codes and the
number of times the error has occurred.
Diagnostics should be printed monthly, or whenever a problem occurs. The
most common errors that you might observe are:
• No response (NOR) from a pump control unit, reader terminal, or console.
This means that the device did not respond to a Site Controller poll or
command.
• A card-read error (RDE) from a island card reader or console. This could be
the result of an user error or a bad card, or could mean that a card reader is
malfunctioning.
• A no-quantity transaction (NQN) from a pump. This could mean a pump is
not registering fuel sold. After several no-quantity transactions, a pump will
shut down.
• PIN errors are from the reader and console. They indicate a customer
entered an incorrect PIN number.
• DIE means the device went down.
The diagnostic error codes are given later in this chapter. If any of these errors
occur frequently, report the problem to your service representative.
