DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
EC2000 ExpressCard 2000
IMK Issuer Master Key for CVC3 generation
K Panel An area of a multicolored Ribbon (e.g., YMCK) that contains
black resin for transfer to the card surface. Also used in
reference to the application of preference to images printed on
the card – those using the black panel in lieu of a process
(YMC) black.
KMC DES Master Key for Personalization

PVC Abbreviation for polyvinyl chloride, often called vinyl. PVC
is a component of the 0.002" thick clear, dye receptive film on
the surface of the identification card and is the primary
component of the identification card cores.
Returned Cards A card that has been issued to a card holder and returned for
the purpose of testing.
SSL Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. Originally developed
by Netscape, SSL has been universally accepted on the World
Wide Web for authenticated and encrypted communication
between clients and servers.
USB A 1.5M/sec (12Mbit/sec) serial communication interface that
can support 127 separate devices consisting of 4 wires:
power, ground, data in and data out.
