4) Locate the exit transport module’s connector, which is connected to the rear right corner plug. See
Figure 4-91.
5) Use a slotted screwdriver or equivalent tool to pry the sides of the connector out of the plug, then
gently disconnect it. Avoid pulling directly on the wires.

6) Use the 1/8” Allen wrench to remove the four screws and washers that secure the corners of the exit
transport module to the top deck plate (shown in Figure 4-90), and set the screws aside.
7) Carefully lift the exit transport module out of the device, making sure no wires catch on it, and set it
aside.
To re-install the exit transport module, reverse the steps for removing it, making sure not to squeeze any
wires between the module and other parts of the device. After re-installing the module, follow these
steps:
1) Perform any additional service that requires the device to be powered off and open.
2) Re-install the cover and top access door by following the steps in sections 4.4 and 4.2 respectively.
3) Close the top access door.
4) Re-attach the power cable, network cable, and any security hardware.
5) Power up the device.
6) From the touchscreen, navigate to Menu > Samples , create a sample card, and make sure the device
functions properly and the sample looks correct.
