4 - Removal and Re-installation

20) Use both hands to remove the tipper module from the device and set it aside, making sure there are no
cables caught on it.
To re-install the tipper and exit ramp module, reverse the steps for removing it, making sure not to
squeeze any wires between the module and any other parts in the device. To identify which cables go to
which connectors, use the labels near the end of each cable, Figure 4-88, and Figure 4-89. In some cases
you may want to trace the cable back to the motor or sensor it is connected to. After re-installing the
module, follow these steps:
1) Perform any additional service that requires the device to be powered off and open.
2) Re-install the cover and top access door by following the steps in sections 4.4 and 4.2 respectively.
3) Re-install the tipper foil spool assembly with the original tipper foil roll, or obtain and install a new
one from the customer.
4) Close the top access door.
5) Re-attach the power cable, network cable, and any security hardware.
6) Power up the device.
7) From the touchscreen, navigate to
Menu
>
Samples
, create a sample card, and make sure the device
functions properly and the sample looks correct.
