This function is similar to the hardware locator in the partition remote console interface
and the chassis identification (ID) button for the cell on the EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor
interface (refer to
4.1.2 Operational Buttons ). The differences are
• The hardware locator in the partition remote console interface identifies all cells in
the partition.
• The hardware locator in the cell remote console interface and the
EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor ID button identify only that cell.
3.7.3. Network Address
The cell network address, or IP address, is the IP address of its Service Processor.

MLAN addresses for all partitions and cells must be on the same LAN segment (refer to
3.5.15 Network Address ).
Network addresses also appear as IP addresses on the EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor UI
on the partition network submenu or on the cell network submenu (refer to
4.5 Network ).

procedure to change IP addresses.
