9.3.2. Setting Threshold Limits for the Rate of CPU Load
The DataViewer component of ESMPRO Manager enables you to configure threshold
limits for the rate of CPU load, as follows:
1. In the ESMPRO Manager Operation window, select a server on which ESMPRO
Agent for Windows or ESMPRO Agent for Linux is installed.
The system information is displayed in the right pane. If an agent is installed, the
agent version is listed in the information and, under Function, ESMPRO Agent
should be on.
2. Click
DataViewer
on the Tools menu.
The DataViewer window for the server opens. The left pane contains folders for the
devices and performance indicators. The right pane contains status or statistical
information about the server agent. The status bar at the bottom shows the current
function and the alert color legend.
3. In the left pane, double-click System, CPU, and then Total CPU, and then click
Total CPU Information
.
A series of icons and detailed information are displayed in the right pane.
4. If the threshold icon appears in the right pane, click the threshold icon.
The Set Threshold dialog box appears.
5. Select the desired monitoring interval from the list.
6. Select the major and minor limits and reset values in the lists or sliding bars.
7. Click
OK
.
When the rate of CPU load reaches a threshold for the server, an alert message
appears in the AlertViewer log. When the measurement falls below a reset value, a
recovery message appears in the AlertViewer log.
9.3.3. Setting Threshold Limits for the File System Free Capacity
The DataViewer component of ESMPRO Manager enables you to configure threshold
limits for the file system free capacity, as follows:
1. In the ESMPRO Manager Operation window, select a server on which ESMPRO
Agent for Windows or ESMPRO Agent for Linux is installed.
The system information is displayed in the right pane. If an agent is installed, the
agent version is listed in the information and, under Function, ESMPRO Agent
should be on.
