that were allocated to it. For example: if a cell is not included during a boot, the
partition does not have as many processors or as much memory and I/O
capacity as expected. When the resources become available, they are
automatically available in the partition and the state is no longer degraded.

Do not permit a degraded partition to start
This setting means that the partition is not started unless all its resources are
available. The following icon appears in the upper-right corner when this option
is selected:

Failing Unit Removal
Select one of the following options to determine management firmware behavior
when units fail:

Do not disable failing units; reinitialize partition instead
Management firmware should try to reinitialize the units to bring them up in the
partition.

Disable failing units
Management firmware should disable the units rather than reinitialize them.
• Maintenance
Mode
You can enable maintenance mode to suspend the sending of Call Home
messages. You must enable and disable maintenance mode manually because an
automatic timer is not associated with it. Select one of the following options:
- Enabled
Call Home messages are not sent while maintenance mode is enabled. This
setting should be temporary. The following icon appears in the upper-right
corner when maintenance mode is enabled:
- Disabled
The system resumes sending Call Home messages if necessary. This is the
normal operating setting. The wrench icon is removed from the upper-right
corner.

Primary Central Service Computer IP address
This is the primary IP address for the partition to send Call Home fault packets. The
current value appears in the box. You can leave it or edit it. If you change the
primary IP address in management firmware, it also is changed in Infrastructure
Solutions Console.

Secondary Central Service Computer IP address
This is the secondary IP address for the partition to send Call Home fault packets.
The current value appears in the box. You can leave it or edit it. If you change the
secondary IP address in management firmware, it also is changed in Infrastructure
