7.3.1. Configuring Alerts using ESMPRO Alert Manager
To configure alert notifications using ESMPRO Alert Manager
1. Click
AlertViewer
on the Tools menu of the ESMPRO Manager Operation window.
The AlertViewer window appears.
2. Click
Report Settings
on the Tools menu of the AlertViewer window.
The Alert Manager window appears.
3. Click
Base Setting
on the Setting menu of the Alert Manager window.
The Base Setting dialog box appears, in which you specify notification methods.
a. On
the
Report
tab, select the desired notification method for users to receive
reports and click Configure.... Enter values as desired in the resulting dialog
box, depending on the notification method.
Note: The Internet mail notification method requires the IP address or name of
the SMTP mail server.
b. On
the
Receive
tab, select the desired method for ESMPRO Manager to
receive reports and click Configure.... Enter values as desired in the resulting
dialog box, depending on the report method.
c. Click
OK
to close the Base Setting dialog box.
4. Click
Destination Setting
on the Setting menu of the Alert Manager window.
The Destination Setting dialog box appears, in which you specify destinations for
alert notifications.
a. To add a new ID, click Add ID, enter the desired data in the ID Setting dialog
box, and click OK.
b. To modify an existing ID, select an ID, click Modify ID, enter the desired data in
the ID Setting dialog box, and click OK.
c. To delete an ID, select an ID and click Delete ID.
d. Add, modify, or delete groups in the Group Setting dialog box, as desired.
e. Click
Close
to close the Destination Setting dialog box.
