4. To set the secondary boot cell
a. Click
Boot Cell
to scroll to the Boot Cell Selection section.
b. Select
the
Enable
check box.
c. Select the desired secondary boot cell from the available membership (different
from the primary boot cell), return to the top of the page, and click Submit.
If the partition is running when you change the primary boot cell, reboot the partition as
soon as possible for the new selection to take effect.
8.8.2. Setting Primary Boot Cell During Partitioning
If you are performing system partitioning actions, you can set the primary boot cell of a
partition, if necessary, using the following procedure. However, when you create a
partition, the first cell selected is the primary boot cell by default, so you might not have
to set one.
This procedure is preferred only if you need to change the primary boot cell for more
than one partition. The procedure does not enable you to set a secondary boot cell. To
set the primary boot cell for one partition or to set the secondary boot cell for any
partition, refer to
8.8.1 Setting Primary and Secondary Boot Cells.
Caution
Changing the primary boot cell is not recommended unless the cell becomes
disabled or you need to replace the hardware.
To set the primary boot cell
1. Log on to the remote console interface for the system and navigate to the
partitioning page.
2. Click
Move cells between partitions
.
3. Select the desired boot cell from the membership list for a partition.
Note: If the desired cell is not a member of the partition, you must first add it to the
partition membership and then select it as the boot cell. Refer to
8.2 Rules for
Partitioning
and
8.4 Moving Cells to Other Partitions
for more information.
4. Click
Submit
.
5. Repeat for other partitions, as needed. You can submit one partitioning action at a
time.
