Create new partition

3. Select the boot cell from the list.
4. Type the partition name, which can have up to 16 characters including letters,
numbers, and spaces.
5. Select one of the following options:
• Obtain an IP address automatically (use DHCP)
• Use the following settings
6. If you selected Use the following settings, type values for the following
parameters:
• IP
address
• Subnet
mask
• Gateway
7. Click
Submit
.
The partition appears in the table with the boot cell as a member.
8. Move additional cells into the new partition, if desired, using the procedure in
8.4

Each partition has unique settings for which you can use the default values or specify
other values, using the following procedure. All settings are explained in 3.5.8

1. Navigate to the settings page of the remote console interface for the partition.
2. Click the link to display one of the following groups of settings, and select or type the
desired values:
• Power

Power cycle interval

Power off cells on the next power down command

Power restore policy; also refer to

DC power stays off when AC power is applied to cells in the partition
(default).

DC power is turned on when AC power is applied to cells in the
