specify the following settings:
• Select
the
Sample Interval
seconds to set the storage sampling interval.
• Select
Enable Pre-failure Prediction
to configure a hard-disk prefailure
prediction.
• Set
Device HD
to a device that needs to be reset.
• Click
Reset Status
to reset that status of the selected device, such as an
exchanged hard disk.
• Click
ok
.
7. Select
Filesys
and press Enter.
The Filesystem window for monitoring functions appears, on which you can specify
the following settings:
• Select
the
Sample Interval
seconds to set the file system capacity sampling
interval.
• Set
Filesystem
to the file system to monitor or for which you want to configure
thresholds.
• Select
Disable Threshold
or Enable Threshold, as desired.
• Select values for Fatal and Warning alerts for file system capacity threshold
violations.
• Click
ok
.
8. Select
LAN
and press Enter.
The LAN Properties window for monitoring functions appears, on which you can
specify the following settings:
• Select
the
Sample Interval
seconds to set the LAN monitoring cycle interval.
• Select
the
Network Hardware Error
threshold, which is the percentage of
errors permitted for each monitoring cycle. Network hardware errors include
alignment errors (broken packets for collision), FCS errors (broken packets for
collision), and carrier sense errors (cable disconnected or defective or
transceiver defective).
Note: Be sure that all network cables are tightly connected and the power
switch is on.
• Select
the
Transmission Retry %
threshold, which is the percentage of
collision errors of total transmitted packets permitted for each monitoring cycle.
Transmission errors are caused by heavy network traffic or defective network
devices.
• Select
the
Transmission Abort %
threshold, which is the percentage of
packets disposed because of excess collision errors permitted for each
