11.9.2. DIMM Replacement Steps
Use the following steps to replace a DIMM.
1. Replace the DIMM.
2. Replace the memory board.
3. Replace the fan module.
4. Power up the system and then power up the partition. Refer to Section 6 Applying
and Removing Power and Booting Partitions .
Replacing a DIMM
Carefully position the DIMM in the socket by aligning the key, and then press down until
the socket release latches engage.
