10.5. Examine LEDs (Optional)

While you are examining the cell EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor LCD, it might be useful to
examine system LEDs. This helps to corroborate the information on the LCD; or, if the
LCD does not indicate the source of the problem, LEDs might suggest the source of the
problem.

Amber: Power control cannot communicate with
management firmware. The information on the
EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor LCD and cell status LED
may not be correct.

Off: There are no power control faults, or AC power is
off.

Cell

Cell status

Green: DC power is on, and no faults exist.

Amber: The cell has faults; see the
EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor LCD for fault information.

Off: DC power is off, and no faults exist.

Fan

Fan status

Off: Fan fault.

Green: Fan okay.

Hard drive

Hard drive
activity

On: The hard drive is busy.

Off: The hard drive is idle.
