3. Select
General
and press Enter.
The General Properties window for monitoring functions appears, on which you can
specify the following settings:
• Select
Enable the Manager to modify SNMP Setting
, if you want ESMPRO
Manager to be able to modify server operating parameters using SNMP.
• Select
Enable Remote Shutdown/Reboot
, if you want ESMPRO Manager to
be able to shut down or reboot the server remotely.
• Select (using up and down arrow keys) the SNMP Community that ESMPRO
Agent for Linux uses to collect information on the local machine. The
community name is registered in the SNMP environmental configuration file
(snmpd.conf). The community name must have the privilege to read from
localhost.
• Type a value for Rack Name, if appropriate.
• Click
ok
.
4. Select
CPU
and press Enter.
The CPU Properties window for monitoring functions appears, on which you can
specify the following settings:
• Select
the
Sample Interval
seconds to set the CPU load monitoring cycle
interval.
• Select
the
Utilization Rate
to set the CPU load monitoring utilization rate.
• Select
the
CPU’s Item
to set total or individual CPU load.
• Select (using the space bar) Enable Threshold to activate CPU threshold
settings.
• Type
Report
and Reset values for Fatal and Warning alerts.
Note: The
Report value identifies the threshold for generating an alert, and
the Reset
value identifies the threshold for dismissing an alert condition.
• Click
ok
.
5. Select
Syslog
and press Enter.
The Syslog Properties window for monitoring functions appears, on which you can
specify the following settings:
• Select
the
Monitor Interval
seconds to set the Syslog event monitoring cycle
interval.
• Click
ok
.

Storage
and press Enter.
