threshold, which is the percentage
of collision errors of total transmitted packets permitted for each monitoring
cycle. Transmission errors are caused by heavy network traffic or defective
network devices.

Transmission abort percentage
threshold, which is the percentage
of packets disposed because of excess collision errors permitted for each
monitoring cycle. Transmission errors are caused by heavy network traffic or
defective network devices.
5. On
the
Memory
tab, specify the following settings:
• Select
Enable threshold
to activate the memory utilization threshold settings.
• Select
the
Sample interval
seconds to set the memory monitoring cycle
interval.
• Select
the
Sample Consecutive number
to set maximum number of
consecutive memory utilization threshold violations.
• Select values for Fatal and Warning alerts for memory utilization threshold
violations.
6. On
the
PageFault
tab, specify the following settings:
• Select
Enable threshold
to activate the page fault threshold settings.
• Select
the
Sample interval
seconds to set the page fault monitoring cycle
interval.
• Select
the
Sample Consecutive number
to set maximum number of
consecutive page fault threshold violations.
• Select values for Fatal and Warning alerts for page fault threshold violations.
7. Click
OK
to save the settings and close the ESMPRO Agent Properties window.
7.3.3. Configuring Alerts using ESMPRO Agent for Linux
ESMPRO Agent for Linux has separate procedures to configure alerts for monitoring
functions and report setting functions. To configure alert notifications about monitoring
functions
1. Navigate to the ESMPRO Agent for Linux software on a partition on which the agent
is installed.
2. Start the EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor for monitoring functions (ESMagntconf) by
executing the following command:
