6. Use the controls to select Enable, and then press F10 to save changes.

to exit the BIOS Setup and return to the BIOS front page.

Continue

and press Enter.

A dialog box asking if you want to reboot appears.

9. Press

Enter

to select Yes to reboot the partition.

When the boot process completes, the TPM is enabled for the partition. In the BIOS,
the setting for TPM Operation returns to No action on next boot.

13.3.3. Disabling TPM Using BIOS Interface

To disable the TPM, follow the same procedure for enabling it (refer to

13.3.2 Enabling a

TPM Using BIOS Interface

) except select Disable for TPM Operation.

WARNING

Do not disable the TPM unless you are sure you no longer want to use the
security keys and will not lose data.

13.4. TPM Physically Present Indicator

The TPM Physically Present indicator is a value in management firmware that indicates
that you are physically present at the cell to use the EXPRESSSCOPE® Monitor
interface. Management firmware clears the TPM Physically Present indicator when the
partition is powered down or rebooted or if you clear it manually. Certain applications
can require that you set the TPM Physically Present indicator on the boot cell before the
applications continue.
