3.5.10. Boot Cell Selection Settings
The boot cell selection settings are shown in
Figure 3-10
. This section appears on the
partition settings page only if the partition has more than one cell.
Every partition must have a primary boot cell. By default, the first cell assigned to the
partition membership is the primary boot cell. If a partition has only one cell, that cell is
the primary boot cell.
Partitions with two or more cells optionally can have a secondary boot cell, which is used
automatically if the primary boot cell is disabled. If a secondary boot cell is not
designated and the primary boot cell becomes disabled, you must select a different
primary boot cell.
Note: Selecting a different primary boot cell does not change the MLAN address for
accessing the partition.
The boot cell must be able to access the storage device on which the partition operating
system is installed.
